“Gratitude can transform any situation. It alters your vibration, moving you from negative energy to positive. It’s the quickest, easiest, most powerful way to effect change in your life – this I know for sure.” – Oprah Winfrey.
How can I be grateful when I am in a state of confusion, anger, or stress?
When I am stressed, it is hard to be thankful for anything because my energy level is low. Gratitude has a higher energy level. If I can think of one thing that I am grateful for, like a chocolate, a working toilet, running water, small joys, small gratitude, I can change my energy level immediately.
Recently, my plan of getting top locations for a yoga event failed, and having limited time and budget, naturally I was worried. But to my surprise, a location better than I expected became available. When I saw the location, an overwhelming joy, tears almost flowed out of my eyes. How many times in life, similar miracles have happened. If we believe that things will work out, we will not give up, and we will continue to seek. The divine has a plan for us that is beyond our expectation, we just need to believe to see.
How I am continuing to do yoga is also divine intervention. I became serious about yoga, when my back pain was unbearable at my prime age of 38. The pain was so serious, even with pain killers, I could not sleep, nor walk. Under the recommendation of a doctor, I started yoga, and was saved in a few weeks.
Show our gratitude from the perspective that we were born complete. But over time, we take on our own ego, or other made-up perspectives to be our reality. So, we are in the process of un-learning those “fake” realities. Thank god we are in the process of discovering more of the truth. The fundamental truth is that the negative energy was not there originally, we create it. We make up our own realities, and give ourselves unrealistic expectations, and therefore, stress and dis-ease make us sick!
To me gratitude is appreciating that the divine plan is already in place. We just have to believe, and let go of our ego, discover the truth with love.
