Water Flow

This mediation was composed and led by our Meditation Teacher Tyrone Powaday.

Visualize yourself sitting on a flat rock at the edge of a waterfall.

The sun gently warms your body as the mist softly kisses your face and arms.

Observe how the water is calm and peaceful as it rolls off the rock’s edge.

Observe how calm you feel as you observe the smooth flow of the water.

Water is life.

Observe how the mist of the water falls gently and lands on your face as it cools to the touch.

Water is life.

Feel the energy of the water; it is gentle and strong.

Water is life.

Listen to the water as the sound isolates your thoughts.

Water is life.

Observe the power of the water as it falls to the bottom.

Water is life.

Observe your body as it is one with the flow.

The water has many stages, as we do.

The water is cyclical like we are.

Water falls from the clouds,

As we are born.

Water moves from the mountains to the oceans,

As we grow from family to the world.

Water moves rocks and creates paths,

As we navigate the world and leave legacies.

Water carves out canyons and feeds the earth,

As we forge ahead and feed our needs.

Water finds a path regardless of obstacles,

As we struggle at times to move forward.

Water moves with intention to get to the next destination,

As we move with intention in our daily lives.

Water finds a way to the vast oceans if that is where it’s needed,

As we also find a way to be where we are most needed.

Water has strength when harnessed to power cities,

As we have strength when needed to move mountains.

Water has peace and calm in stillness,

As we have peace and calm in this moment.

At the end of its journey on Mother Earth, water evaporates into the atmosphere to become beautiful clouds,

As we end our journey on Mother Earth and return to the origin of our energy.

Breathe.

Water stays in the sky until it accumulates enough energy to release back to the earth,

As our energy will also return to a new vessel for our karmic resonance.

As the water is cyclical so are we.

There is no beginning and no end.

We are the light that returns to the light.

We are the light that is shared with all beings throughout our world.

We are one with all, as all are one with us.

Water is life.

Water brings life.

We are that life realized.
